SoloRosa Napa Valley Rosé 2007

Piccolo Rosso Syrah Russian River Valley 2007

Our new rosé is brimming with refreshment, packed with pretty raspberry and watermelon notes, and topped off with a hint of bright citrus pleasure.

And in its second vintage, Piccolo Rosso is back.... the perfect light bodied red wine for warm weather and al fresco dining.

SoloRosa is the only winery in the New World founded on dry rosé. Our first vintage, in 2000, consisted of one barrel—approximately 23 cases. Today, 8 years later, we make some 100 barrels in any given year with average production still small: about 2000 cases.

"Dean & DeLuca, The Food and Wine Cookbook" by Jeff Morgan

SoloRosa rosés are bone dry, brimming with ripe raspberry flavors, tempered by tangy acidity and often blessed with a flinty, mineral core. The wine is aged for five months exclusively in neutral, 5-year-old French oak barrels and offers multiple layers of intensity. We use Sangiovese as a core varietal and have blended in a touch of Syrah this year.

Drink SoloRosa slightly chilled with all manner of meals: from seafood to steaks, Mediterranean to Mexican or even Indian cooking. It's pretty darn delicious with your favorite sandwich or pizza, too.
Mostly, SoloRosa serves up plenty of serious fun - perfect for both "haute" and not-so-haute cuisine.
